Don't get me wrong, I'd consider myself an advanced knitter. I can read patterns easily and understand instructions, and knit complicated things on teensy tiny needles, but sometimes I just don't WANT to. I prefer to take the easy route to acheive something that fits better and feels more comfortable. I like toe up socks, I don't like picking up stitches. I wouldn't call myself a "lazy" knitter at all though because I love lacey patterns, cables, etc. I just don't like fiddly things. This pattern, albeit drop dead gorgeous, is definitely a fiddly thing.
That being said, all the "fiddlyness" that I had to "suffer" through knitting these socks was worth it. They are freakin' adorable! Oh and for anyone who is geniuinely interested, they were knit out of Malabrigo sock yarn in the colour "Chocolate Amargo".
Be on the lookout for another post before March's socks (which I still haven't chosen yet from my list), because I'll be posting about my success in the Ravelympics!
