So, I promised a Ravelympics post, and I didn't follow through with that. The reason? I am lazy. I knit so many darn things in the Ravelympics this past February (yes, its July now), that I just got too lazy to edit that all into a post, so I apologize. Any knitters that are read this are generally already friends, so check out my Ravelry page for pictures, but I will list what I completed for Ravelympics, for anyone who really wants to know:
During the Ravelympics I also knit the Pomotamus socks (see last post) mostly during the Ravelympics but didn't finish within the time limit, despite trying really hard. I finished them the next day though. Phew, that was a lot of projects!
So, my sock of the month club? Also a failure. I complete socks in March, which I'll include a photo of right here. The pattern was made up by me, and is just a shifting rib, which actually worked out pretty cool. The yarn is Yarn Nerd 1200 mHz Merino in "Buttered Popcorn" and is damn gorgeous! Since then, I've been a knitting FREAK. Seriously. I am so busy knitting (and working, sad!) and swapping!Yes, swapping. Well, some of you know I run a major yarn swap group on Ravelry that was passed down to me, but recently I've fallen back in love with mail art. I've been on sendsoemthing.net for a while and now I've become a member of Swap-Bot recently and I'm an addict. I love getting mail: letters, stationery, fun lists, etc. I love learning about different cultures and different places to live and meeting new friends to correspond with. I have several penpals, and love hearing about their lives, its so interesting. People don't value letters like they used to. Email is so impersonal and lame these days. I get emails from spam companies and crap I do online. From friends, I want words. I want ink and paper and respect for communication as an artform! Sure, maybe I'm cheesy, but so what?
I've also been creating a lot of things for my etsy shop including these cool letter booklets. They are hand bound with waxed Irish linen, and hand sewn. I used to really enjoy book binding, but I only remember the basics, so I'm trying to get back into it a little bit. Thing is, it all costs money... and thats money that I don't have (so pleaes, go to my etsy shop and buy something, haha!)Oh, speaking of my etsy shop, as I write this, I have 3 spots left in my Non Club. Normally I don't pimp out too much on my blog here, but if you read ths and there are spots left, GET ONE. I have serious goodness planned for this club, and also, $10 from every club sale is being donated to a good cause - theres a girl named Robyn who has Crohn's disease. She is a friend of a friend and has been screwed over by jobs/insurance, is stuck in the hospital with insanley increasing hospital bills, and she needs help! Please, please, PLEASE help if you can by purchasing one of those Non Club spots!
So, thats what I've been doing. I'm writing this post in an attempt to resurrect my blog (though I'm not sure why, ha!), so we'll see what happens! Posts will be random and sporadic, but I'm going to actually try to post more!

OMG, I want, like, *everything* in your shop! Especially the little art books and the handcarved address stamp!!!! SO FREAKING AWESOME. And by the way, in case you didn't realize it, I read your blog and enjoy it, no matter how random or neglected! <3
(Haha, look at my silly little house in that photo. I should probably change that, huh? Although, it IS still our house, sadly. We bought it just a year and two days ago, and it's been on the market for 10 months and two days. Boo. Poor pretty little house!)
P.S. You are SO NOT A FAILURE. (although those yellow broken-rib socks do look a little big! lol)
Note that the socks look like they aren't a good fit since they were knit for his SIZE 14 BOATS, but the pic was taken on my much smaller men's size 8 feet.
