The above picture was taken on my wedding day, exactly 366 days ago. (I meant to post this yesterday, but I didn't have the time). It has been exactly one year since Will and I were married, and its been the most amazing and wonderful year of my life.
I can't thank him enough for the joy he brings into my life. We are by no means well off, we're rather poor and just barely hanging in there most weeks... its hard being a one-income family, but we manage. We have his residency paperwork here to submit, which we'll be going through over the next few days and then figuring out what our next step is, so he can finally be a permanent resident, and be able to work here and all that fun stuff.
Despite the fact that things aren't always easy, I would not change a second of our life together. We have our ups and downs, just like everyone else, but at the end of the day, all I want to do is curl up in his arms and everything is good and right in this world once more.
The below picture was the top tier of our wedding cake. We saved it, as is tradition, (one I'd never heard of, but my family growing up was pretty non-traditional). It sat in my mother's freezer for about 11 months and she brought it over last month. Surprisingly, it didn't suffer from freezer burn, and was pretty tasty, save for a slight plasticy taste the frosting had.
The cake was absolutely beautiful and was made by a very close family friend. I think I'll have to send her another thank you note and let her know we dug in to the top tier on our anniversary and it was just as tasty as when we had it on our wedding day.

Also, Will and I share our wedding day with another amazing couple, Daniel and Victoria of Uncast. They're kind-hearted and hilarious people, so please check out their podcast! I wouldn't want to share my anniversary with anybody but them!
