A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Things here have been busy busy busy. I'm not sure why but September just zoomed by. Will and I did manage to go camping again though, and the same weekend was the Kitchener-Waterloo knitter's fair! A good time was had by all, as we met up with some friends there, including Heather of Joey's House, whom I know from Ravelry. You should go check out her cute little minion knitting patterns!

Camping was a blast, there aren't many photos to show off from it though, they kind of all look the same as our last camping trip, except it was just Will and I this time. It rained after dinner on Saturday night, literally 5 minutes after we finished eating dinner around the campfire. We'd been prepared though and had a huge tarp hanging over a picnic table, strung up in the trees, so we had shelter from the wet. We sat around and played cards all night. By the time we woke up in the morning, the rain had stopped and our site was dry. It was a lot of fun.

September was a busy work month for me, which is why we didn't do much else and I don't have a ton to write about. I'm trying to catch up on correspondence, take some time out to relax and enjoy the forest before the snow hits, create as much as I can, knitknitknit, and enjoy the scenery of it all.

I don't have much to say but I want to share some amazing and/or fun photos:

a hat that I've recently finished knitting, called "Edith the Hat" (pattern is for sale on Ravelry), out of Wollmeise in Die Auster and a We're Different which might be Brombeere.

Gnomes in the forest! These little guys are just 2" tall, and are multiplying in our household like you wouldn't beleive. I cast on for the first one just 2 days ago and we already have two more. My mom will be getting a box of them for Christmas (perhaps made into a garland for the tree)

A spectacular sunset panorama shot, taken off of my balcony. Click to see the original uploaded size.

A shot I took in the forest on a particularly beautiful day when Will and I went on a little hike

And a stunning piece of mail art made by Liz (swap-bot user "peony"). I've been trying to create mail art as much as possible lately, as it makes me insanely happy!
